We take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information in order to provide the services you have requested of us.
What we need:
We only collect basic personal data about you. This includes your name, phone number, email and postal address. This is collected by means of a contact form on our website (name, email and telephone) and also a contact information sheet which forms part of the contract of hire. (Possible further contact numbers and address.)
Why we need it:
We need to know your basic personal data in order to provide you with your wedding transport and to fulfil our obligations in relation to this overall contract. We also need basic personal data to fulfil legal obligations to HMRC and to satisfy the terms of our insurance. We will not collect any personal data from you that we do not need in order to provide and oversee this service to you.
What we do with it?:
All the personal data we collect is held on a personal computer (name and email address only) and in paper form (signed contracts and contact info sheets). No 3rdparties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so. This computer is password protected and I (Joel Burgess) am the only holder of the password.
What legal basis do we have for processing your personal data?
1, You have requested information from us as a first step towards forming a contract eg asked for information and a quote.
2, If you choosse us to provide your wedding transport, we willhave a contract with you and will need to hold personal data in order to comply with our obligations under this contract.
We need to hold certain personal information to comply with our legal obligation to HMRC and to satisfy the terms of our insurance.
How long we keep it?
Initial contact information is notkept unless you enter into a contract with us to provide your wedding transport.
On entering into a contract with us, we will keep your personal data for 6 years. This is to comply with UK tax law which requires us to keep basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed.
What else do we use it for?
Your data will not be passed on to any 3rdparty unless, as previously stated, the law allows them to request it. We will not use your personal data for any marketing purposes with the exception that we may contact you shortly after your hire as a courtesy follow up only at which point we may ask if you would be willing to provide a review of our services.
What are your rights?
If at any point you believe the information we hold about you is incorrect you can request to see this information and even have it corrected or deleted (deletion excludes any information we need to hold for HMRC). If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data please contact me directly.
If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
